The big question always discussed when it comes to creating a state-based Medicare for All-type system is how it will work. The financing is a big piece of the equation being considered right now by the Healthy California for All Commission (HCAC). Dr. James G. Kahn, MD, MPH will hold a statewide webinar on Wednesday, July 14, from 5 pm to 6 pm, to discuss the potential for moving forward, different financing options, and the importance of continuing to push for a single payer solution with the Commission. The Commission is charged with exploring how “unified financing” could be used to provide health care for everyone living in California.
