The new Medicare for All Act (MC4A) (Jayapal, Dingell) has been reintroduced in the House as HR 1976. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has agreed to certain committee hearings, including Small Business and Health. When asked what would happen if a state passed single-payer legislation, she said that under HR 1976, federal legislation would be “wrapped around the state”.
