The House GOP has ordered the Energy and Commerce Committee that oversees Medicare and Medicaid funding to cut $880 billion. Medicaid dollars make a big difference in every single Congressional district. That’s why every single member of Congress needs to hear from as many constituents as possible. Legislators need to understand that the program is necessary, popular, and currently underfunded. The last thing they should be doing is cutting Medicaid and endangering the lives of their constituents in order to fund tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans.
