A new bill calling for establishment of a single-payer universal healthcare system in California was introduced in February in the state legislature.
Assembly member Ash Kalra (D-San José) introduced AB 1900, The Guaranteed Health Care for All Act (CalCare), sponsored by the California Nurses Association.
Starting on Wednesday, March 4th, CalCare is launching NEW virtual phone banks every Wednesday from 3 – 5 pm on Zoom to contact existing CalCare supporters and patch them through to their assembly member’s office to leave a comment in support of the bill.
