Jan 25: The Business Case for Single-Payer

Where: Cardiff-by-the-Sea Branch Library (2081 Newcastle Ave, Cardiff, CA 92007)
What:

Attention business leaders, entrepreneurs, and the self-employed! Come discover why universal single-payer healthcare is a smart business decision.

SB 562 The Healthy California Act would enact single-payer universal healthcare in California. A statewide plan such as this would save businesses money by eliminating waste, reducing administrative duplication, and introducing better cost controls. Beyond cost-savings, it would also free up Human Resource departments from the tedious process of selecting and implementing plans for employees. Plus, small businesses and start-ups would be more competitive in attracting top talent because potential employees would no longer fear losing benefits.

We'll cover these topics and much more! There will be a showing of excerpts from the film “Fix It,” followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
