Welcome to Sacramento’s chapter of Health Care for All. We advocate for universal health care through a single payer organization, not a health insurance company. Good health is a human right and should be available to all without regard to economic or residence status.Joining our coalition partners, we have added the specific goal of health care for undocumented residents of California.
We have recently joined the California Collaborative for Healthy California Act to support SB562
Our normal meetings are the first Saturday of the month.
No fooling, we will have a really important monthly meeting this April 1 Saturday at 10AM at Sacramento Café & Brew (Perko’s) 3rd and J Streets.
Just as Washington punts on health care California is ready with its own single payer universal health care plan.
On Saturday, our own Keith McCallin will present the latest news on SB562.
Keith is now regional coordinator for our collaboration with the nurses- Campaign for a Health California.
We have lots of work to do to make California the first in the nation to show the way to complete health care reform.
HEALTH CARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT And we are there.
We had a successful Cesar Chavez march and looking forward to rallies and events culminating with the grand rollout of SB562 on May 19th (tentative).
See you this Saturday. Come early for an optional but delicious breakfast.
Here is our banner for the Cesar Chavez parade on March 25.
Membership for the year is a nominal $25. Join on the www.healthcareforall.org website and you will become both a state and Sacramento member. We welcome additional contributions for the chapters. OR Please send a check to the P.O. Box in the header. You can join this way also.
Because we advocate before the California Legislature, we need a large membership. Please join even if you cannot attend meetings.
